On Saturday, March 7, 2026 our Big Red Bulls boys basketball program defeated Bellbrook High School 49-45 in the OHSAA Division III District Championship at the University of Dayton Arena! Our first District title since the 2018 season. Hughes was led by sophomore, Le'Shawn Hill with 19 points, and junior, Jaionte Jones came up clutch with free throws late in the game. Sophomore Dontrezz Shepard stepped up big and added a huge dunk to get the crowd into the game! Senior Malik Henderson made a big layup with under a minute to play to put the Big Red up. On Wednesday night our Big Red Bulls boys basketball team took down Northwest High School 62-58 in the OHSAA District semi-finals. The Big Red were led by senior guard, Malik Henderson, who scored 27 points. Hughes boys basketball advances to their first District Championship game since 2020. Malik Quiles led the Big Red Bulls wrestling program to a 2nd place finish at the CMAC conference meet over the weekend! Malik, a state qualifier in 2024, finishes his Hughes career as the winningest wrestler in school history with 120 wins! Malik is a four time CMAC champion in his weight class. Including winning the 175 pound division this season. Congrats, Malik!...

Hughes Big Red Bulls Boys Basketball team finishes the season with a 17-5 (8-2 conference) record. And earns the CMAC Red title for the first time since the 2019-2020 season. Coach Mike Hill led the Bulls to 17-5 record including winning their final 12 games of the season. Next up for the Bulls is the OHSAA State Playoffs.
