Hughes did very well in the Colerain Invitational meet. The girls came in 3rd team overall and the boys were 3rd team overall in the small schools division! The boys had some achievements this meet – Kei’mon Staples 2nd in Shot Put with 34’4” and 2 nd in Discus with a PR of 100’10” Jayme Wilmont took 1st in DC with a PR of 101’4” Malachi Hunter came in 4th in Shot Put with a PR of 30’10” Boys 4x800 of Malachi Hall, Jeffrey White, Cinsear Stollings and Jaden Turner came in second with a time of 9:30.73. Boys 4x200 came in 2nd place with a season’s best time of 1:37.89 of Taveion Stone, Charles Roberts, Jaden Turner and Devon Brown. 4x100 came in 2nd with season’s best time of 47.08 of Jabbar Jones, Taevion Stone, Charles Roberts and Devon Brown. Cinsear Stollings came in 4th in 400 m Devon Brown ran a PR 11.16 in the 100m to take 2nd place. Boys 4x400 ran their season’s best of 3:45.23 to take 2nd place place. The team for the 4x400 consisted of Bryce Mitchell, Jeffrey White, Jaden Turner and Cinsear Stollings. Boys 1600 m Malachi Hall came in 4th and Jeffrey White came in 5th in season’s best times of 5:23.77 and 5:41.14 The girls had some achievements as well Keyshayla Staley came in 3rd in the 100 m hurdles with season’s best time of 19.36. Lillie Black came in 6th in the 100 m. Girls 4x200 took 2nd with the team of Keyshayla Staley, Shahada Tidwell, Abriyel Opoku and Amiyah Foster. Amiyah Foster took 2nd in the 200m dash and 2nd in Long jump Girls 4x100 came in 3rd with the team of Lillie Black, Keyshayla Staley, Makayla Walker and London Dartis Dariyah Jacobs and Natasha Barjon took 4th and 5th in the 800m, Qu’Niyah Estill took 2nd in the 1600 m and Natasha Barjon took 3rd . Ra’Niyah Hill took 2nd in discus with a PR of 73’9” and Shahada Tidwell took 3rd . Ra’Niyah Hill also took 2nd in Shot put with a season’s best 26’9”....
