UNDEFEATED: VARSITY VOLLEYBALL MOVES TO 11-0

Varsity volleyball moves to 11-0 with a win over Woodward on Tuesday night. The Big Red Bulls were led by seniors Abriyel Opoku, Amiya Poole, and Kimor Humphries.

Head Coach, Jasmine Davis, was interviewed after the game:

How have you been keeping the girls focused on each game and not looking ahead?

Jasmine Davis:
"I have been keeping the girls focused and motivated for each game by talking about their confidence and decision making. I make emphasis on doing everything the right way and covering their job while in action. Understanding that they are a key piece to success and trusting that all the skills we have worked on from the summer to the season is what we put into play on the court."

What has been your keys to success this season?

"Keys to success have been our positive attitude, our serving and passing. I also think the team have a good sisterhood connection with each other outside of volleyball that helps them to like each other and support each other more."

What makes this group of girls special?

"This group is so special because they have been with me playing volleyball since jh and the development of them have grown. From passing, to setting, to hitting, and last serving I have seen growth from each player! Attitudes have flourished in the right direction. This group has many silent leaders and young ladies that I have shaped to be good role models on the court and inside of the school community. This group is SPECIAL, we laugh we joke we fuss we do TikTok’s and we celebrate life together because it’s bigger than volleyball!"

The Big Red are back in action Thursday night (9/25) at Withrow High School at 5:30pm
