HUGHES HIGH SCHOOL TRACK TEAM SHINES AT CHCA TRACK MEET

May 4, 2026 – Cincinnati, OH

The Hughes High School track and field team delivered an impressive showing at the CHCA Track Meet on Monday, May 4th, with several standout performances!

The Girls 4x200 relay team brought home first place, showcasing excellent teamwork and speed to secure the top spot on the podium. The Girls 4x100 relay also put up a strong fight, finishing in fourth place against tough competition.

In individual events, Kei’Mon Staples achieved a major milestone by recording a personal record (PR) in the discus throw with a mark of 101’2", a demonstration of dedication and continued improvement.

Amiyah Foster had a busy day, finishing 4th in the 400m dash and 7th in the long jump, contributing valuable points to the team’s overall success.

On the boys’ side, Cinsear Stollings placed 7th in the 400m dash, while Jaden Turner earned 8th place in the 800m, both showing grit and endurance in their events.

In hurdles, Key’Shayla Staley placed 10th in the 300m hurdles, and Abriyel Opoku raced to a strong 4th place finish in the girls 200m dash, continuing her consistency this season.

Lastly, Ra’Niyah Hill rounded out the field performances with a 9th place finish in the girls discus.

Overall, Hughes High School’s athletes demonstrated teamwork, growth, and resilience throughout the meet.

Big Red Bulls Track Team will be back in action on Monday, May 11th at the CMAC Championships at Stargel Stadium at 4:30pm
