HUGHES BIG RED BULLS ROLL PAST BATAVIA BULLDOGS, 53-38

The Hughes Big Red Bulls put together an explosive offensive performance and came away with a 53-38 victory over the Batavia Bulldogs.

Senior quarterback Kyell Alexander was the star of the night, throwing for 266 yards and five touchdowns while adding another touchdown on the ground. Alexander's six total touchdowns fueled a Big Red Bulls offense that consistently found ways to put points on the scoreboard.

Junior Nehemiah Engleman also had a monster performance, scoring four touchdowns to provide Hughes with another dynamic weapon. O'mantae Phillips and Alex Davenport each added a touchdown of their own as the Big Red Bulls piled up 53 points.

Hughes also made key plays defensively when it needed them. Kannen Adams came up with an interception, while Jah'Bron Ridley recorded a sack to help the Big Red Bulls make an impact on the defensive side of the ball.

The Bulldogs managed to put 38 points on the board, but Hughes' explosive offense proved too much to overcome. Alexander's six-touchdown performance, combined with Engleman's four trips to the end zone and timely defensive plays, helped the Big Red Bulls secure an impressive 53-38 win.

It was a complete team effort from Hughes, with the Big Red Bulls making big plays on both sides of the football to come away with the victory.

The Big Red Bulls take on Mt. Healthy on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 6:30pm at Stargel Stadium.
